Perfect manual pump machine! September 8, 2010 Ian Matthew Waits (Woodstock, GA United States) I recently purchased the Bar32 through Amazon to replace a worn out machine. For the price this you just can't beat this machine. 1 its self priming 2 this machine could sell for much more. Other competitors price the same machine between $125 to $150 dollars.
I just received it today. I've brewed three doubles and have no problems and perfect cream and takes about 25 seconds a shot. This is just an early review and I'll update it later.
Great espresso maker for the price September 8, 2010 Andrew Heaston (California, USA) The espresso is good, it's pump driven, the machine is fairly easy to clean, and the price is right. Overall I would definitely recommend it and/or purchase again. As others have said, the only bummer is the lack of a tamper, so I purchased one separately and never even used the one that is attached. Other than that, its great for a casual coffee lover or every day drinker, just be sure to preheat and enjoy! Below is the tamper I'd recommend, at just under 8 dollars you'll be glad you got it.
Another side note, I am not sure that there is a back-flush insert available and until I find one (providing there is one) the only way to clean the machine is, as suggested by the manual, by adding the cleaning product to the reservoir and running it through. Works pretty well but costs a fair amount of water.

awesome August 26, 2010 lakesurfbob Only had it for about a month but use it every day & it works great. I've been using with the coffee pods for less mess.
Great for a Novice August 25, 2010 LESLIE R. DOUGLAS 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
One of my favorite drive-up coffee's is white chocolate mocha; now that there are grocery store creamers available in my favorite flavor, I got to thinking about $4.75 per cup vs. can I make my own? I did my usual internet research which really only covered the very low or high end espresso makers. So... I went to Amazon and read the reviews from us, the actual consumers. I am currently enjoying my second cup of espresso from this machine and all I can say is WOW! Clean the components, read the instructions (cycle 5 rounds clean (no grounds) to break in the machine and get rid of any manufacturing/packaging residue). I like that the water tank is removable to facilitate filling directly from the faucet or can be left in place and be filled from a pitcher, etc.. This model comes with two filters, single or double. I've been using the double filter and running the cycle three times for a larger cup of espresso with great taste results. Keep in mind that this is an espresso maker and NOT a drip coffee maker. I consulted with my Sister who has been brewing espresso for quite some time and she offered me this advice: the GRIND of the coffee is essential (very fine) and you won't get this with most home coffee grinders so go to your local coffee roaster and have them do a espresso grind for you or buy an espresso grind from your local grocer; also, don't over tamp, you only need a light touch..too much and the water can't seep through the grounds.
Pros: Removable water tank, duel filters, ability to accommodate taller coffee cups, attached tamper does the job, heats quickly between cycles including steam. Relatively low counter top profile.
Cons: None, if you read the instructions.
First Espresso Machine August 23, 2010 A. Saccol (western, pa) This is my first espresso maker so I don't have anything to compare to. Overall seems to make great espresso and cappuccino. Easy to use, easy to clean, coffee nice and hot. The only downfall is the attached tamper is a little difficult to get good pressure on. Easy fix, just get a separate tamper.
Overall: Very happy with purchase!
