Product Description This state of the art coffeemaker lets you fine tune the process from filtering the water you brew with to keeping the brewed coffee at the precise temperature you desire. If you're the impatient type you can grab a cup before brewing is complete (or program your coffee to be ready and waiting at wake up time), and if you tend to be forgetful, this appliance has auto shut off. Seems as though Cuisinart has covered all the bases in this deluxe coffeemaker.
Amazon.com Review Strikingly retro in brushed stainless-steel with black-plastic accents, this 12-cup coffeemaker includes Cuisinart's best brewing technology and premium features for ease and flexibility. The digital clock/timer is programmable for automatically brewing "wake-up" coffee at a selected time and for turning off the warming plate up to four hours in advance. Removing the glass carafe from the warming plate automatically pauses the brewing process for a quick pour, and the warming plate's temperature can be adjusted. For maximum flavor, the machine can be set to brew one to four 5-ounce cups or five to twelve cups, and it includes a charcoal water filter. For convenience, a permanent Gold Tone filter eliminates messy paper filters and an indicator-light shows when decalcification is needed. The coffeemaker measures 14-1/4 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 10-3/4 inches deep (including carafe handle) and carries a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

Happy Husband! March 9, 2010 Sandra A. Ploger 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My husband is the coffee drinker in our household and I think we finally found the coffeemaker of his dreams. After 50 plus years , we have it. s
Nice coffee maker March 9, 2010 B. Johnson (Poughkeepsie, NY United States) Well, what does one say about a coffee maker? It makes coffee. I agree with some other reviewers that the water fill port is located a little bit awkwardly, but this is not a huge deal. The graduation marks in the water reservoir are useless; you really can't see how much water is in there, so you need to measure out your water before pouring it in. It has some nice features. I like the programmable auto shutoff timer, and the 1-4 Cup setting really does somehow make better coffee when brewing a small amount. The black and brushed steel design matches nicely with our other kitchen appliances. Similar features and brewing quality can probably be found at a lower price point, but I guess we pay for design and build quality, too.
Great Coffeemaker March 7, 2010 Becky Cole (Iowa United States) This coffeemaker does everything I expect a coffeemaker to do....brews a good pot of coffee very quickly and keeps it hot until I have finished the whole pot. I have two of these, one at the office and one at home. I am very happy with them both.
This is the best coffee maker I've owned March 5, 2010 Shoshana Ginzburg 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My last coffee maker died this week. It's been behaving erratically for months. So, I did the research on the net, and found this one. It's a snap to set up, is simple and handsome, and it covers all the bases for function. It makes a great cup of coffee, a full 12-cup brew took so little time that I thought the sound signal that it was finished might be a mistake, LOL. The carafe is wide-mouthed glass, so it's easy to get my hand inside it to wash it thoroughly.
It offers the option to use either a permanent filter (well, they do wear out, but are easily replaceable), or, to use #4 paper filters. The filter lifts out easily for disposal. The Brew Central even comes with it's own coffee measure.
I haven't used a machine that has a timer feature before. It will be fun to set this up to have hot, fragrant coffee ready for me when I awaken in the morning.
I'm thrilled to have found it.
Coffeemaker - not the usual Cuisinart quality March 5, 2010 Exequiel R. Sevilla Jr. (Fairfax, VA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The system works well -except for a major design flaw. The indicator for the amount of water you put in is inside the coffeemaker and is useless unless you are making ten cups or more. Previous Cuisinart coffeemakers had an exterior water level indicator. Now one has to measure the water in the carafe, then pour the water into the machine - a two-step process.
