5 out of 5 stars Cuisinart Panini & Sandwich Press   September 7, 2010
P.Patel
I ordered the Cuisinart Griddler Panini and Sandwich Press to replace my old sandwich press and I am so happy with this purchase. The press is extremely versatile, I can make grilled sandwiches, paninis, burritos, quesadillas, garlic bread, etc. There is no need to spray Pam on the press or spread butter on the bread/tortillas, the non-stick coating prevents the food from sticking to the press. The machine is very easy to clean and is small enough that it doesn't take up a whole lot of counter space.

I wanted a Panini maker solely to make one sandwich...the Caprese Panini. I searched around for one and this machine seemed to be the simplest, and had the best reviews...SOLD! I am so glad I bought this! I finally got to make my Caprese Panini (photo above), and a host of other yummy sandwiches! My Mom's been telling me for over a year to get one of these and I kept blowing it off. Well, Mom, you were right! There are so many different panini's you can make with this...the possibilities are endless (though I do NOT recommend trying a BLT panini...that was no good. Warm lettuce = yuck!). I've already tried a few sandwiches from the little recipe book that's included with this machine, and they were wonderful! I've found that, while you certainly can use regular white bread, french bread is the best since it's a bit more sturdy. It tends to grill up a little better. Clean-up is a breeze...just let the machine cool completely, then wipe it down with a damp paper towel. The cord wraps around 4 clawed feet on the bottom, and it's small enough that it won't take up a ton of room in your cabinet. In the end, I am SO happy with this purchase!

5 out of 5 stars I love this little guy!   September 1, 2010

I'm making way more sandwiches than ever before, but I'm skipping mayo and other condiments--they just aren't needed. So technically, I'm eating healthier, right? This little machine is fantastic for building huge sandwiches and then pressing them down evenly to a manageable size. It couldn't be easier to use, and makes neat lines across the bread. I recently started grilling sandwiches in flour wraps: Fantastic. Quesadillas are yummy too, and cook up even faster. This machine is inexpensive and will quickly become your best friend.
My Mom's favorite sandwich:
*Rosemary-Olive Oil Bread
*Roasted or Smoked Turkey
*1 slice mozarrela
*1 slice VT sharp cheddar
*carmelized onions and/or roasted red peppers
*tomato slices
*basil
Mine is easier--cheddar, bacon bits, tomato. Yum!!!

This product's great! I made paninis the other day and they were delicious! Easy to clean and heats up quickly. It's also surprisingly light. I can't wait to use it in college!
